I’m Danita Matthews, the proud owner of Nita Cool Treats and my journey has been shaped by my incredible family. I've been happily married for 23 years, and together with my husband, we have four wonderful grown children and three amazing grandchildren. Our family loves spending time together, whether we're playing games, fishing, or hitting the road for a fun trip. I also find joy working in my garden.

I started Nita Cool Treats with a vision to show my grandchildren that with faith and determination, anything is possible! This business is more than just a way to serve delicious Italian ice; it's a testament to our family's belief in hard work, faith, and the power of dreams. Giving back to the community is a core value of ours. My family and I are passionate about feeding the homeless, and I make it a point to involve my 5-year-old granddaughter in these efforts. It's crucial to teach our children the importance of generosity and helping those in need.

In the spirit of community support, I also employ local teenagers during the summer. This not only gives them something positive to do but also helps them gain valuable work experience and learn the importance of responsibility and teamwork.
